OpenShot es uno de los mejores y más completos editores de vídeo para Linux.
Se ha liberado la versión 1.3.1 en la que se han corregido errores y actualizado traducciones.

Si quieres instalarlo desde la consola ejecuta:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jonoomph/openshot-edge
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install openshot openshot-doc

Si también quieres instalar efectos adicionales:

$ sudo apt-get install frei0r-plugins

Y para terminar y poder utilizar la animaciones 3D necesitarás tener instalado Blender 2.56 o superior.

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cheleb/blender-svn
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install blender

Una vez terminada la instalación de Blender, desde OpenShot, ve a Editar -> Preferencias y en la pestaña general, informa la ruta del ejecutable de blender, en mi caso "/usr/bin/blender".
